Opportunity International Tranformation     Investments and Opportunity International

Opportunity International is a global organization established in 1971 and whose vision is to provide access to financial resources and to offer a chance for generating revenues to those who do not have access to bank services. Network of financial institutions of Opportunity International today is active in more than 30 countries around the world. A significant decrease of total assets and number of served clients has been recorded over the last decade, and according to data as of 31st December 2006, on international level, Opportunity International had over 960.000 clients. The global portfolio amounted to US$ 305,3 million with ca 32 % of total property being under the control of OTI as an investor, over which OI has the control participation. OI performs the control with dominant influence on management by choosing three top managers from OI and four managers from external organizations appointed by Board of Directors of OI who make the OTI management body. Opportunity Transformation Investments Inc. is a corporation established in June 2000 and with a major aim to hold the founders’ deposits in foreign investments Opportunity International. In 2002 OTI established Opportunity Savings Bank in Novi Sad in order to provide financial services to micro and small entrepreneurs in Serbia.

EBRD - European Bank for Reconstruction and     Development         

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development was established in 1991, with a goal to affirm the development of private sector in Eastern and Central European countries with extremely transitional economies. Owing to its investments, EBRD helps development of the market economy and legal system, making a precondition for establishment and operation of private sector. It is one of the biggest investors in region and it performs its activities in 61 countries. Although the shareholders originate from the public sector, EBRD mostly invests in private sector, together with its partners.
